Education Sustains the Future

Education is the second pillar of our approach to sustainable rural development; however, children aren’t free to go to school when they must spend the majority of their time carrying water to their homes. Having a clean water source allows children to attend school; particularly girls benefit, since they are the ones that predominately fetch the water. Our support for schools and their educational mission is essential to a generation of children.

WWRD will also be supporting adult learning through apprenticeship programs, helping their skill sets grow, so they can provide more for their families.
